The Onion on transit

I finally found it online. Hilarious.

WASHINGTON, DC—A study released Monday by the American Public Transportation Association reveals that 98 percent of Americans support the use of mass transit by others.

I'm surprised I haven't seen a bumper sticker with the line from that article: "Take The Bus... I'll Be Glad You Did."

Pretty much sums it up. No one has a problem with light rail's existence. They just don't want to use it themselves.

not true, mr. cynicus. Ridership on the light rail even here in car-crazy Houston is quite high. And yes, I use it.
